- The 2008 Pennsylvania 4-H Achievement Days Dairy Cattle Judging Contest took place Wednesday, August 8. Contestants judged Jerseys supplied by Ryan Clark, Tyrone, and Holsteins from the Penn State dairy herd.
- 2009 Cow Camp is Big Success
- The fifth annual Dairy Days Cow Camp, sponsored by the Penn State Dairy Science Club, took place at University Park, PA from May 29-31. More than 80 campers and chaperones from 16 counties participated. Housed in Penn State dormitories, they enjoyed a variety of educational and social events.

- The collegiate dairy judging team from Penn State captured first place at the prestigious World Dairy Expo intercollegiate judging contest, placing first as the overall team and first in reasons.
- Penn State Livestock Team Wins at KILE for Second Straight Year
- The Penn State livestock judging team was first at the Keystone International Livestock Exposition in Harrisburg for the second year in a row, and were the high team in beef cattle for the third straight year.
