The team was Reserve Champion Team overall for the contest. They placed 2nd overall in halter, 9th overall in performance, and 3rd overall in reasons--Congratulations!

Horse Safety Awards 2007

PA 4-H Horse Safety Awards

2007 Safety Award Winners. From left to right: Nancy Kadwill accepting for Amanda Hoade (Montgomery County), Nancy Hottle (Bucks County), Brenda Cobb (Montgomery County) and Jaimee Anderson(Venango County).

In the individual youth category: Jaimee Anderson of the Trailblazers 4-H Club in Venango County placed first for her work to promote safety during the Venango County Fair. Amanda Hoade of the Mainland Equestrian 4-H Club in Montgomery County placed second with her project that focused on barn fire prevention.

In the club category: The Spurs N Burrs 4-H club of Bucks County placed first with a detailed fire prevention and awareness program. The Montgomery County 4-H program placed second with their project that promoted impovement of ground handling, rid

ing skills and general horse safety practices.

American Youth Horse Council Award

Jodi Leinhart and Her Award

Jodi Lenhart (Westmoreland County) winner of the 2006 AYHC Student Leader of the Year Award picture with AYHC President Christy Landwher.

Jodi Lenhart of Bolivar, Pennsylvania received the first ever national Student Leader of the Year Award from the American Youth Horse Council. The award was presented to Jodi in recognition for her outstanding accomplishments and service to the horse industry at the 30th annual AYHC National Youth Horse Leaders Symposium in Denver, Colorado on March 9-11, 2007.


Jodi was presented with a signed, limited edition print sponsored by Western Horseman Magazine and a $500 scholarship from AYHC.  Youth from throughout the United States, representing a variety of breed and industry organizations were nominated for the prestigious award, and recognized during the symposium.
