Gary J. Killian received a B.S. in Zoology and an M.S. in Embryology
from Kansas State University. In 1973,
he received a Ph.D. in Dairy Science from Penn
State and remained on the faculty until 1976. From 1976-1984 he was
Assistant and Associate Professor of Biology at Kent
State University. In 1984, he returned to Penn State and is now a Professor
of Reproductive Physiology in the Department of Dairy and Animal Science
and the Intercollege program in Physiology. He currently supervises 3 technicians,
4 graduate students and 1 post-doctoral student. Dr. Killian has published
more than 139 research papers and abstracts and teaches one graduate level
and one undergraduate course in reproductive physiology. He has supervised
to completion 11 Ph.D., 13 M.S. and 4 B.S. honors thesis students.
