About Profit Teams:
Since their inception, Dairy Profit Teams have helped many producers realize higher production, improved reproduction, better herd health and greater profits. In fact, producers enrolled in the Center for Dairy Excellence’s Dairy Profit Team Program in its first year saw an average of $250 per cow in increased profits and 25 percent in increased milk production. In 2007, the Center introduced a new option, the “Target Team,” and increased funding levels for producers who use the team approach to enhance the productivity of their operation. The Target Team complements the existing Profit Team
program by applying the team concept to a targeted bottleneck-specific area while assigning a specific timeline to accomplish the task. Any dairy producer in Pennsylvania is eligible to apply, with financial support and other resources available to those who are accepted into either program. Penn State Dairy
Alliance offers training to help these dairy teams learn the strategies they need to operate successfully.
About the Team Training:
Save travel time and money! This training is offered in real-time via the worldwide web. You will need a computer with high-speed internet connection to access the website that will be used for the training, as well as a phone connection to hear the audio portion.
These workshops will allow team members to learn about the basic steps to form a team, establish team goals, and monitor team progress. Workshop participants will better understand the stages of team development and which team tools work best at different stages.
