Middle Managers Conference

This conference will help middle managers develop practical skills that they can use to make their dairies better places to work and more successful businesses.

This highly interactive program will focus on building for the future with examples from herd expansion, supervisory skills, leadership and communication in workshop format for good opportunity for discussion.

Keynote speaker is Clay Reese, herd manager of Rosendale Dairy in Rosendale, Wisconsin, who will present:

“Building Successful Teams:
Meeting the Challenge of Operating a Large

Dairy through a Team Approach”

Clay Reese grew up on his family's dairy farm in Port Matilda, PA.  A graduate of Cornell University with a B.S. in Animal Science, Clay has worked on a variety of dairy farms, ranging in size from 200 cows to 6,500 cows. He is currently the herd manager at Rosendale Dairy.  His responsibilities include herd work, staffing, training and supervising of the herd health staff and oversight of the milk harvesting operation. Rosendale Dairy, Inc., a 4,000-cow dairy located near Pickett, WI, began production in November 2008.  Phase 2 is currently under construction and will provide housing for an additional 4,000 head.  The dairy is owned by Milksource, Inc.
