Stockmen's Club Dinner Dance
The 2007 Spring Dinner Dance was held April 20 at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center, State College, PA.
The 2007 Spring Dinner Dance was held April 20 at the Ramada Inn and
Conference Center, State College, PA. The club hosted 32 graduating
seniors for dinner.
The next event is a football tailgate scheduled for October 13, 2007 at
the Penn State vs. Wisconsin game. The tailgate is a joint effort
between Stockmen's and the Penn State Dairymen's Club. Detailed
information will be available in the next few months on the department
web site.
Penn Stockmen's Club membership is open to any graduate of a major
offered by The Department of Dairy and Animal Science or former member
of The Penn State Block and Bridle Club. Associate memberships are
available to anyone interested in promoting and supporting Penn State

On February 2 Darwin Braund was an art critic in the Palmer Museum
of Art on campus. It's part of the Palmer Museum's outreach program
called Perspectives Unbound. He was invited to critique a 98” x 102”
painting entitled “Work Horse, Hauling” by Kate Javens. In addition he
discussed the role of draft horses in the development of United States
agriculture and industry. He showed a few special horse-related items.
