Penn State Block and Bridle
Penn State Block and Bridle is affiliated with the National
organization, which is comprised of college students from
all over the country
who are interested in farm animals.

Penn State Dairy Science Club
The Penn State Dairy Science Club serves the dairy
industry and
develops
leadership qualities in club
members through industry and public
service, campus
dairy promotion events, youth education, member
education and recognition, fundraising, and social
activities and

Poultry Science Club
The Penn State Poultry Science Club is open to any
student with an
interest in poultry and avian species.
Emphasis is placed on
educational, service, and social

Students for Responsible Use of Animals (SRUA)
SRUA's goal is to promote the improvement
of animal welfare while
increasing the
awareness of animal use in agriculture
among students of
the University community. Activities include pet therapy clinics,
visitng lecturers, and visits to animal and wildlife centers such as
Shaver's Creek

The Penn State Pre-Vet Club
The Penn State Pre-Vet Club serves to inform its members
on career
options within the animal science and veterinary
medicine fields. The
club also provides further insight into
current veterinary procedures.
The club provides members
with the opportunity to interact with other students with

The Collegiate Horsemen at Penn State (CHAPS)
C.H.A.P.S is an interest and educational club for horse
lovers. Club activities
range from clinics, field trips,
community service activities, fund
raisers and socials.
Some members enjoy
noncompetitive riding at
Carousel Farms. Riding or other horse-related
experience

The College of Agricultural Sciences supports more than 25 clubs and organizations for students who want to learn more about an area of study or career possibilities while taking part in social and service activities.
These groups host prominent
guest lecturers, organize conferences and competitions, conduct tours of major
industries, and hold many other events.
Participating students have many opportunities to work closely
with peers and faculty and can develop interpersonal and communication skills to take
them far in their careers.
Prospective employers value the skills and maturity that students develop by participating in these extracurricular activities. Student clubs and organizations also are a great way to have fun on campus.
